Jessica Getz is an associate attorney at the Lomnitzer Law Firm and focuses on intellectual property law and litigation. She has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation including pre-suit planning and negotiating, discovery, motion practice, taking and defending depositions, preparing for and attending mediations, and settlement negotiations. Jessica litigated trademark infringement, counterfeiting, and patent infringement issues nationwide.
Jessica attended the University of Miami School of Law for her juris doctorate and while there also earned a Master of Laws in international arbitration. While there, she was an active member of the Bar and Gavel Honor Society and served as mentorship chair for the Intellectual Property Law Society. In addition, she received the Cali Excellence for the Future award and Director’s Award for top marks received in respective courses. Further, Jessica graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. While there she worked in a lab performing fMRI awake and anaesthetized neuroimaging experiments on mice to analyze olfactory activation.
