Allen F. Bennett is of counsel to the Lomnitzer Law Firm, P.A.. Mr. Bennett is a registered patent attorney and licensed to practice in Florida. His clients include major universities and research institutes, and concentrates on entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Prior to law school, Mr. Bennett graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Biochemistry. He had a successful career as a research scientist, focusing on genetic and proteomic research. His research has been published in science publications such as the prestigious journal Biochemistry.
Upon completing law school in 2001, Mr. Bennett worked at small IP boutique firms, general litigation firms and as in-house patent counsel for a biotech company developing gene therapy technology.
While specializing in the life sciences, Mr. Bennett has successfully procured patent protection for inventions ranging from simple mechanical devices to web-based software, genetic regulation and alternative energy. And although he always seeks amicable resolutions to his clients’ disputes, he litigates patents, copyrights and trademarks when necessary.
